When you need to KNOW: Who is the most eligible individual in regards to qualifications and least fatigued in considering a future fill-in and/call-in for overtime
The SmartRelief module is used to select the best relief employee. When determining the right person for the right job, it is as critical to ensure that this person is the most optimally alert to perform the job safely. SmartRelief taps into the FIRM database to retrieve the historical work information of each employee. SmartRelief uses numerous metrics to determine the suitability of each candidate. How it works:How it works:
Smart Relief has built in state and federal regulation codes, such as PHMSA and ANSI 755 to ensure compliance. These calculations check for any regulatory warnings or deviations that would occur in the proposed shift, and also in future shifts. The values on the Score Card shows the effect, or 'cost', of having this employee work the proposed shift. Frequently Asked Questions:How is Smart Relief accessible to supervisors to use:Smart Relief is on an in-house server and is web-based which allows for anyone authorized to call up the shift and crew and determine the need to know whom they must fill in for absenteeism. Must the supervisor pick the top person:It is highly recommended that the supervisor be taken out of the loop concerning fatigue risk determinants, while at the same time relieving all supervisors from making a bad choice. Candidates are ordered in declining sequence, from best to worst, based not only on fatigue risk potential for filling needed shift but future shifts the candidate must continue to fulfill. Smart Relief also ensures for regulatory compliance in ordering candidates. What is the lead-time to install Smart Relief:Upon installing an API into company T&A and getting the system onto company web-based format, its simply a matter to establish, in database, a full spectrum organizational chart by crews, job codes, areas, departments and their corresponding supervisors. Are there other features that are available in Smart Relief:It is highly recommended for the company to supply conveniently to supervisors the contact information of all persons to be potentially reached. The company can also access their own protocols from internal regulation limits, report generation and auditing. |
Visual AIM
